1. Origin
Sugarcane wax is the by-product extracted from sugarcane in the sugar
refining industry. The wax exists on the surface of the sugarcane stem
and can be extracted easily. It looks like a white folium, and is refined
through several producing procedures.
2. Component
The wax, as many other natural waxes, is the mixture of ester, dissociative
ethanol and hydrocarbon.
3. Application
¡¡(1) Used in black shoeshine, waterproof material, shoelace in shoe leather
industry and final ornament items.
¡¡(2) The wax can be used for making carbon paper and applied in industry
of electric power due to its excellent electric insulation. After proper
reform, it not only bears comparison with carnauba wax, but also shows
a high retentiveness. It also can be used as substitute for all kinds
of vegetable waxes. Refined sugarcane wax can be used as coating for fruit,
chocolate and used for stencil papermaking.
