Project Rationalization:
The Activated carbon is made from such raw materials as charcoal, chips, all kinds of nutshells, pits or high-quality coal. It appears to be black, tasteless, nontoxic absorbent after a serial of physical and chemical processions including carbonation, activation, acid cleaning and rinse. Due to its function of crocking, refinement, deodorization, sterilization and decontamination, it is widely used in industries of food, pharmacy, water treatment, air pollution treatment, improvement and chemistry and for wine and gold refinement. As a good absorbent, the activated carbon is a fundamental raw material for industrial and agricultural productions and science and technology relating to national defense.
Jian'ou City, enjoying a reputation of "Green Treasures", is an important forest city in China . It has convenient transportation with provincial road and national road passing by. There is just one kilometer from the factory to Punan Express Way and 3 kilometers to Hengnan Railway. The telecommunications system is highly developed in Jian'ou city and there is no shortage for electricity and water. Although it has advantages to develop industry, the leftover from wood and bamboo production has not been well used. The project of "10,000 Ton Activated Carbon Production & Operation" is to fully use those leftover to bring economic profit to enterprises as well as to raise the value of wood and bamboo. More over, it will be a competent product for Jian'ou economic results.
Jianou Zhixing Activated Carbon Co., Ltd. currently has fixed assets valued at over RMB 30 million; its factory covers an area of 200mu; the Company employs over 200 persons, with more than 95% of its managerial and technical personnel holding university degrees or technical school diplomas. With an annual output of 10,000 tons in 2006, the Company generates an annual output value of RMB 66 million, with taxes and profits topping to RMB 8 million. With total assets exceeding RMB 43 million, the Company has self-support im. & ex. power. In order to expand production scale, the Company plans to build a new factory with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons of activated carbon. Investors and business partners are welcome for this project.
Project Scale and Scope:
An annual output capacity of 20,000 tons of phosphoric acid-method pollution-free activated carbon, annual output value RMB 150 million, site area 135 mu , including floor area 68,000 square meters.
Project total investment: RMB 66 million (including RMB 50 million for fixed assets and RMB 16 million for current funds); foreign capital RMB 26 million is to be utilized.
Mode of Partnership: Equity Joint Venture or Cooperative Enterprise
Analysis of Economic Benefits: After the project reaches its design capacity, an annual output of 15,000 tons of activate carbons will be achieved, with sales revenues RMB 150 million, profits RMB 15 million, and taxes RMB 8 million; investment is expected to be recovered in 3.5 years.
Progress of Preliminary Work: Construction of office building, workshop and plant site have been completed and some production lines have been installed.
