Pretreatment Reagents (Low-temperature Polishing Reagent)

The low-temperature polishing reagent can be used to polish aluminum-based materials chemically, and it has the advantage of low cost, low contamination and easy operation.

1. Characteristic

1.1 Under normal conditions, it can enhance the brightness of aluminum surface, which helps to stabilize the grounding of colored section bars, and make the surface vivid.
1.2 It adds luster and whiteness to section bars especially when the section bars are treated by sand-spraying.
1.3 Low cost, low contamination and easy operation.

2. Technical Parameters:

Low-temperature polishing reagent: 6%-8%
Temperature: 15-350C
Time: 3-6min
Remaining Quantity: Tap water

3. Maintenance of Trough Liquid:
The filling quantity should be adjusted according to the analysis of trough liquid operation points. Generally speaking, the operation points have 8-10 points. When the index is less than 8, the additive should be added; and when the index is more than 10, the time of section bars remaining in the trough should be shortened accordingly. 5-8kg of low-temperature polishing reagent is consumed for the treatment of one ton of section bars.

4. Note:
When the low-temperature polishing reagent is used in the treatment of aluminum workpiece, the luster-adding effect is limited, and it is far from that of three-acid polishing.

Appendix: Operation Procedure:

Degreasing— water-washing — low-temperature polishing — water-washing — neutralization polishing — water-washing — water-washing — oxidation — water-washing — coloring — water-washing — sealing — water-washing (if the rough workpiece is clean, the polishing can be finished directly in the polishing trough).
