Longevous
Alkali Corrosive
(Product No.: FAS-7)
It can be used in corrosive auxiliary reagent of alkali
corrosion for aluminum alloy section bars. And it can
combine with aluminum ion actively, restrain the over-corrosion,
and increase the concentration of aluminum ion in the
trough.
1. Technical Parameters and Operation Conditions:
1.1 Trough Setting Parameters:
NaOH: 40-60g/1
FAS-7: 15-20g/1
Operation Temperature: 40-600C
Treatment Time: 1-10min, variable according to the requirement
of workpiece.
1.2 While building the trough, users should consider
installing a heating or cooling device, especially the
high temperature caused by polishing workpiece will
result in the difficult control of treatment time and
surface quality.
1.3 The treatment time can be decided according to the
actual conditions. As the requirements of manufactories
are different, the treatment time should be set accordingly.
2. Routine Maintenance
FAS-7 has been developed to meet the requirements for
surface treatment of aluminum section bars. It has an
integrated function of smoothing, corrosion-restraining,
surface-activating and aluminum ion-combining. And it
meets the needs of various surface pretreatments of
aluminum materials. The highest aluminum concentration
is 140g/l.
The following requirements should be met in the routine
maintenance:
2.1 The operation temperature should be kept constant,
and the cross contamination should be avoided.
2.2 The longevous alkali corrosive should be replenished
according to the principle of “less quantity,
more times”.
2.3 .When the content of aluminum ion exceeds 140g/l,
it is required to clean up the residuals in the bottom
of the groove before it can be used again.
2.4 FAS-7 should be replenished at 10-12% NaOH.
3. Consumption Parameters:
As the treatment requirements are different, the consumption
is different accordingly. The detailed information is
as follows:
NaOH(98%):10-15kg
FAS-7:1-3.5kg
3.1 General Treatment (including the treatment after
acid corrosion)
NaOH (98%): 10-15kg
FAS-7: 1-3.5kg
Assumption (for one ton of aluminum materials): 20-35kg
(depending on the surface requirement)
NaOH(98%):25-35kg
FAS-7:2.5-3.5
3.2 Emery Treatment
NaOH (98%): 25-35kg
FAS-7: 2.5-3.5kg
Assumption (for one ton of aluminum materials): 20-35kg
(depending on the surface requirement)
4. Requirement of Environment Protection:
The sedimentation is treated by “neutralization
+ drawing” mode. Also, it can be treated according
to the criterion of the local environment protection
department.
5. Analysis Method:
Add 2ml of trough solution to a 250ml conical flask,
and add 10ml of water, then add 3g of sodium gluconate
and 4 drops of 1% phenolphthalein, and then titrate
the solution with 1N hydrochloric acid standard solution
till the end point (the red color disappears) (V1).
Add 3g of KF and rock the flask to make the KF dissolve
evenly, then titrate the solution with 1N hydrochloric
acid standard solution till the end point (the red color
disappears) (V2).
Calculation:
Free alkali (g/1)=20*(V1-V2/3)*N
Aluminum ion (g/1)=4.5*V2*N
Note: N- equivalent concentration of hydrochloric acid
standard solution
