Cobaltous
Chloride
English Name: cobaltous chloride
Cobaltous Chloride
English Name: cobaltous chloride
Molecular Formular: CoCI2.6H2O
Molecular Weight: 237.93
Content: ≥98% Co≥ 24.3%
Characteristic: The product is a red and monoclinic
crystal; density: 1.924; melting point: 86?. At room
temperature, it is stable, and when heated, it turns
blue, and when cooled in damp air, it turns red again.
It can dissolve in water easily, and dissolve in ethanol,
acetone and ether. When heated, or added with hydrochloric
acid, chloride or organic solvent, its water solution
turns blue. When its water solution boils, and ammonia
is added, the water solution turns blue with the production
of chloride or organic solvent. Again, when its water
solution boils, and ammonium is added, a basic salt
of cobaltous chloride results. When exposed to light,
the solution also turns blue.
Packaging: The product is packed with intertexture bag
with plastic lining bag, or cardboard barrel with plastic
lining bag. The net weight of each bag of product is
25kg.
