To meet the quality requirements for domestic aluminum
surface treatment, the company has improved the early
products on the basis of the advanced formula of the
same type of products in Italy. As a result, the products
have a superior performance, wider application range
and better seal effect.
1. Characteristic
1.1 The buffer capacity of trough liquid is strong,
and the ability to resist foreign ions and interference
is good.
1.2 The components of trough liquid are easily controlled,
and the technical parameters are in a wide range. Therefore,
there is no obvious change in seal effect caused by
the technics fluctuation and technical parameters change
in the previous working procedure.
1.3 Suitable surface activating reagentis selected for
the components, which eliminates the common fault of
ash-remaining.
1.4 After the section bar is treated, its surface brightness
and hardness will be improved.
2. Technical Parameters:
FAS-62: 4-5g/1 FAS-62: 4-5g/1
pH value: 5.5-6.6(the pH value is between 5.2-5.5 for
newly-built trough)
Temperature: 23-300C
Time:10-15min(depending on the thickness of oxide membrane)
3. Maintenance of Trough Liquid
The quantity to be added can be determined by chemical
analysis method. Generally speaking, 1.0-1.2kg of trough
liquid is needed to produce one ton of aluminum section
bars (with 10?m oxide membrane).
In the trough liquid, the concentration of nickel ion
is controlled at 1.0-1.3g/1,and that of fluorine ion
is 0.2-0.6g/1.
As for FAS-62 component, the consumption ratio of nickel
ion to fluorine ion should be considered. Under special
conditions, the concentration of nickel ion can be adjusted
by adding ammonium fluoride and ammonium acid fluoride.
And pH value can be adjusted by using hydrofluoric acid
or acetic acid.
Test method: tested by weight-loss method of ISO3210
phosphorus-chromic acid corrosion, those of less than
30mg/dm2 are up to grade.
4. Special Specifications:
Dark green section bars (which are treated with sealant)
are required, and the preparation and control of trough
liquid should be managed separately. The requirements
are as follows:
4.1 Trough Setting Parameters:
Special sealant: 6-6.5g/1
pH:6.0-6.8(5.8-6.0 during building)
Ni2+:1.5-2.0(1.2-1.3g/l during building)
Time:10-20min (depending on the thickness of oxide membrane)
4.2 Consumption: As the sedimentation of Ni2+ in the
green sealant is somewhat heavy, the consumed sealant
is also heavy, and about 1.8-2.0kg of sealant is needed
for one ton of aluminum section bars.
5. Analysis Method:
Determination of nickel content: Add 5ml of trough liquid,
and add 50ml of water, 10ml of suffer solution (pH=10)
and trace amount of purple ammonium uric acid as indicator,
then titrate the trough liquid with 0.01N EDTA standard
solution till the end point (aubergine). The consumed
volume of EDTA standard solution is V (ml).
Calculation: nickel content(g/1)=N*0.05869*V/5*1000
Note: N-EDTA equivalent concentration
Determination of fluorine content: Add 25ml of trough
liquid, and add 25ml of TISAB (total ionic strength
adjustment buffer solution), then measure –mv
value with acidometer, and then check the fluorine content
from the standard graph.
