Uses: dyestuff intermediate to manufacture azo dye, reactive dye, sulfur and other dyes, also vanillin and m-amino phenol in pharmaceutical industry.
Properties: it is pale pink cream or crystal, slightly soluble in water, ethanol and diethyl ether, easily soluble in caustic soda solution and concentrated hydrochloride acid. It will be slowly oxidized in are and turn to red-brown.
