Granular Ferric Oxide for Fine Desulfurization
        This product has high pore volume and sulfur absorption capacity. It has good strength and post-regeneration activity. It will not form sludge under exposure to water. It is also effective in removing oxygen and cyanide.
Working Mechanism:

 

         2Fe(OH)3.XH2O+3H2S=Fe2S3+(6+X)H2O
         Fe2O3.XH2O+3H2S=Fe2S3+(3+X)H2O
         Fe2S3=2FeS+S
         Fe2S3+XH2O+(3/2)O2=Fe2O3 XH2O+3S
         2FeS+(3/2)O2+XH2O=Fe2O3 XH22O+2S
        If the O2/H2S ration exceeds 2.5, desulfuration and catalyst regeneration can be achieved simultaneously, otherwise supplement of oxygen is needed.
Use:

 

         In desulfuration of water gas, semi-water gas, coke oven gas, natural gas and more. Particularly suitable for desulfuration in manufacture of urea and chlorine-alkali.

Application Guide:

 

        1. Working condition
        20-60°C, water limit 1.7-5.0%,gas flow 200-1000h-1,or at best 300-500h-1, normal pressure to 5.0x10aPa.
         2. Filling method and caution for use are the same as that of commonly used activated carbon.
        3. Operation procedure
        Replace the air in the system with material gas, elevate the pressure, and desulfuration process can be activated.
        For regenerating, expel the material gas in the system with water vapor down to explosion limit, and introduce an air flow with low speed at first, then gradually to a speed of 5-50h-1. The temperature must be below 120°C. If it exceeds 120°C,stop the air flow until the temperature drops to below 100°C. After the peak of regeneration, as indicated by temperature drop in the tower, air flow speed may be elevated.
        To change catalyst, expel the material gas in the system with water vapor down to explosion limit, and unload the catalyst.
