Use: serve as a cyclizing agent, analytical reagent and substitute of ortho-phosphoric acid in organic synthesis.
Properties: colorless, transparent and viscous liquid. It is deliquescent and non-crystal and can be dissolved in water and hydrolyzed into ortho-phosphoric acid.
Hazards Identification: incombustible, but may cause a fire in contact with H gas generation agent; less corrosive; hydrolyzed into ortho-phosphoric acid when being in contact with.
Fire fighting measures: Wear acied proof protective gear.
First aid measures: prevent direct contact of phosphoric acid with skin and eye so as to avoid serious skin burning and eye corrosion. Sufferers should leave the contamination area right away with clothes taken off and skin and eyes rinsed with a large amount of water. Magnesium oxide glycerin is applied to the skin and patient with serous burning should be sent to hospital for treatment immediately. In case of oral administration by mistake, the mouth should be rinsed at once and patient sent to hospital for treatment.

Storage & Handling: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances, Keep away from alkali, toxic or corrosive substances, Handle with care. Leakage treatment: wear a gas mask and gloves properly before treatment. Spread sodium carbonate over the contaminated ground, wash the ground with water, and discharge the diluted sewage into the sewage system.
Accidental Release Measures: Wear full protective gear. Neutralize the spills with sodium carbonate solution.
