Desiccant for Container

Brief: The desiccant is the container transport protector that can protect goods against “container rain” during transportation.
If a container is shipped during high temperatures and relative humidity, then the possibility of condensation occurring is substantial when the temperature is begins to drop. The desiccant helps keep the dew point temperature below the actual temperature, even when the actual temperature drops within the shipping container due to temperature fluctuation. “Dew Point temperature” is the temperature at which water vapor begins to condense onto a surface forming liquid water. The liquid that results inside a container is called “Container Rain”, which can cause severe damage to goods. Container rain will occur if the surface temperature of an object is equal or lower than the dew point temperature. If the relative humidity is lowed with the absorbing properties of desiccant, the dew point temperature is also lowered, stopping container rain.

Characteristics: The desiccant is manufactured by natural mineral. So it is non-toxic, non-pollutional and naturally degradable. It can be disposed as normal trash after being used.

The A/M amount is applied to general circumstances. If using the desiccant under extremely high temperature and humidity or under tremendous change of temperature and/or humidity, you may accordingly increase the quantity. On the contrary, you may reduce the quantity. We are in the position to supply with different package size according to the clients’ requirements. You are welcome to contact with us if you have any question on the usage of container desiccant.
