Electric dehydrator package in onshore/offshore oil field

[BACKGROUND INTRODUCTION]

As the cost of transportation is increased because there are lots of water in crude oil from underground especially from the sea field, it is necessary to dehydrate crude oil after exploration. Traditional electrical dehydrator has three floors horizontal electro plates with large space between adjacent plates and transformer with high output voltage to meet requirement of electrical field force. This structure threatens input of high voltage, running life of electrode bar, and stability of equipment operation.

[TECHNICAL FEATURE]

Our company renewed traditional dehydrator depending on research of light electrical field. The space between adjacent eletro plates can be reduced and it is unnecessary to need high output voltage from transformer if most of water in crude oil can be dehydrated in light electrical field. Considering high ratio of water in crude oil from oil field, the special transformers with 100% impedance are used for power supply. Since the space between adjacent eletro plates is reduced, four floors horizontal eletro plates in dehydrator vessel can make three different electrical fields strength which can dehydrate water electrical field with different force. The output of renewed dehydrator can be 225m⒊/h. Furthermore, the renewed dehydrator has many advantages such as smoothly running, convenient operation and high efficiency of dehydrator. At present, the renewed dehydrators are used in Weizhou Island in normal condition.
