INTRODUCTION
SETS OF EQUIPMENT
FOR PHENOL WASTEWATER TREATMENT
Phenol wastewater large exist in refineries and chemical
plants. It usual use extraction method to be treated.
Not only the equipment is huge, investment and operation
cost are high, but also the treatment effect is unideal.
The new-type phenol wastewater treatment equipment developed
by our company and Jingling Petrochemical Co. Equipment
Institute, is made of emulsion production, mass transfer
and demulsification three parts. First emulsify aqueous
solution in the kerosene and NaOH to form kerosene and
water-in-oil emulsion, then enter into mass transfer
tower and go on mass transfer with phenolic in wastewater
to form kerosene and sodium phenoxide water-in-oil emulsion.
The emulsion enter into the electric field and demulsify
under the electric field action. The kerosene and sodium
phenoxide seperates, the kerosene go back to emulsion
production unit to recycle. This technology purify the
wastewater in the meantime obtain phenol whose economic
value is more expensive.
