Appearance: Blue paste or powder or blue-black fine particle
Solubility: Slightly soluble in hot chloroform, chlorophenol and quinoline; insoluble in acetone, pyridine (hot), alcohol, toluene, xylene and acetic acid; brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, blue precipitate after diluted; blue in alkaline sodium hydrosulfite solution, turn to red light blue after adding acid.

Used in automotive coating and other metal decorative paints, even better light fastness than CuPc; maintain good durability in diluted color, lower tinting strength than α-type CuPc; Also can be used for plastic coloration; the thermal stability in polyolefin up to 300℃/5min (1/3SD HDPE sample 300, below 200℃ treatment color difference ΔE is only 1.5); excellent migration resistance in flexible PVC, light fastness is grade 8 (1/3SD); also used in high grade mintage printing ink.
