Established
in 1957 as the former Jiangxi Ammonia Factory, Jiangxi
Jiangan Chemical Industry Co. ltd is rated as a type
II large scale enterprise in China and a core enterprise in chemical
fertilizer industry in Jiangxi Province. In 1998, Jiangan restructured
itself and joined the Jiangxi Changjiu Stock Co. Ltd in the form
of high quality capital. 60 million A shares were successfully offered
and circulated in Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Jiangan is located on about 480,000 square
meters of land in eastern suburb of Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi
Province, where the basic facilities including telecommunication
and transportation are well developed. At present, there are over
3300 employees and 620 technical specialists whose experiences have
covered many fields, among whom over 200 have medium to senior level
of certified technical titles. The total capital of the firm is
487 million yuan, and the annual production capacities are: 110,000
metric ton of synthetic ammonia, 160,000 MT of urea, 10,000 MT of
silica white, 20,000 MT of hydrogen peroxide, 40,000 MT of methanol,
20,000 MT of compound fertilizer, 10,000 MT of polyacrylamide and
10,000 MT of liquid carbon dioxide. As far back as in the seventies,
Jiangan has been a flagship enterprise in Jiangxi, who has been
repeatedly rated as model enterprise by the national Committee on
Economy and Trade, the former Ministry of Chemical Industry, and
the provincial and municipal governments, and who was specifically
praised by the State Council. The honorary titles received include
the National Model in Enterprise Management, the National Excellence
in Spiritual and Political Education, Firm with Outstanding Contribution
in Jiangxi Province, Excellent Enterprise in Jiangxi, and the Firm
with Civility in Jiangxi, just to name a few.
Jiangan holds the people as the foundation
of the company and places strong emphasis on further development
of the corporation. The growth strategy is to "focus on both
fertilizers and chemicals through technological innovation".
Over the years, through continued technological progress and innovation,
and the adjustment in product lineup, the corporation has reached
the state of dual focus on chemical fertilizers and chemicals, out
of the original sole focus on chemical fertilizers. After years
of participation in the market economy, Jiangan has grown into a
strongly competitive enterprise with broad growth perspective.
