KISUMA 5 (Magnesium hydroxide)
|
KISUMA 5 is an inorganic flame retardant
which does not generate poisonous nor corrosive gases, and reduces
the amount of smoke generated during combution. |
Characteristics
1. |
Doesn't corrode molding machines and mold dies. |
2. |
Can be filled to high concentrations in EVA, EEA, VLDPE, PP, EDPM,
etc. |
3. |
Improves arc and tracking resistance. |
4. |
Improves polypropylene's M.F.I.,flexural modulus and impact strength. |
5. |
Flame retardancy is better than Al(OH)3.(For example
;EVA,EEA,EPDM) |
6. |
Anti-thermal degradation, and electrical properties(volume resistivity,
dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent) are better than compounds
filled with Al(OH)3. |
7. |
Flame retardancy increases synergystically when it is used together
with red phosphorus or carbon black. |
