USES : Piperonyl butoxide is a synergist to increase pesticide effectiveness especially for synthetic pyrethroids. Its dosage is 5-10 times of pyrethroid and  this can obviously increase pyrethroid’s effect 3 times. If formulate it with cypermethrin, tetramethrin, permethrin, deltamethrin, cyholothrin, the synergism is remarkable. In combination with insecticides Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) can kill e.g. crab louse, head louse, clothes louse, block mange affection, abate dermis infection in case of parasite attack and reduce itchiness, althought itself it has noinsecticide activity. In water Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) is insoluble but very soluble in organic solvents. For bees and fishes Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) is it is not toxic.
