Protection |
It has strong causticity. Be careful to prevent from skin contact. The allowable concentration for aerosol of NH4Cl is 10g /m 3 . Operators should wear protective smock including respirator and rubber gloves, etc. Keep in a tightly closed container in well-ventilated workshop. |
Handling and Storage |
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated house away from moisture. Avoid handling or transporting together with acidic or alkaline substances. Prevent the material from rain and insolation. Load and unload carefully and protect from package damage. In the event of a fire, use water, soil or Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishing Media. |
Applications |
Its principal use is in mining, tannery and fertilizer. It is also extensively employed as a constituent of Dyeing, Electro-bath and Soldering fluxes. Also it is used in Galvanizing, Tinning, Medicine, Candle making, Adhesive, Chromizing and Precision Casting and producing dry and storage batteries and other Ammonium Salt. |
