It is white crystal powder or granular , molecular weight 136.29, density 2.91g/cm3, 283°C melting point and 732°C boiling. It is deliquescent, and it dissolves in water. It dissolved in organic solution of oxygen-containing, such as methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, glycerin, acetone, ether and so on. It can solve metal oxide and cellulose. Zinc Chloride has good property of conducting electricity. It has corrosion and toxicity.
2) Applications:
It is mainly used in the industries of organic synthesis, such as dehydrating agent, condensating agent, wood antiseptic, fabric starching agent, weighting agent, battery, electroplating, papermaking, medicine, active carbon and so on.

5)Storage:
Zinc Chloride should be protected by covers when transportation ,avoid rain, moisture, no mixed with food and plastic . store in dry and airiness place , not exposed in the air . the shelf period of galvanized metal pail, carton and rubber drum packing is 6 months ,composite woven bag is 2 months ; since production date . strong corrosive and toxic matter, wear protective suit when production, transportation and storage
