Description:
Free flowing, white to slightly yellowish powder consisting of fine spherical particles.
Practically odourless.

Composition:
The spherical particles contain DL-a-tocopherol acetate in droplets of 1-2um embedded in a matrix of gum arabic (E414) and sucrose and coated with starch.

Solubility:
Dispersible in cold water to form a milky emulsion.

Specification:
Assay: Min. 25% DL- a-tocopherol acetate per gram (=250 former I.U. of vitamin E=168 TE per gram)
Loss on drying: =5% (4 hours at 105°C)

Monographs:
The vitamin complies with the current Ph., Eur and USP monographs.

Particle-size distribution:
100 % smaller than 425µm (40mesh USP)
min. 90% smaller than 250µm (60mesh USP)
max. 15% smaller than 150µm (100mesh USP)

Bulk density: Approx. 0.6g/ml

Stabilization/Stability:
The product is very stable both in the original containers and in food products to which it has been added. The product is stable for at least 36 months when it is stored in the original containers at room temperature (about 25oC) with dry place.

Applications:
Food products:
The product has been developed for fortifying powder food products such as baby food, children’s food, dietetic foods and dried milk, as well as for vitamin mixtures for use in the food industry. It is very suitable for the manufacture of hypoallergenic food products as it contains no protein.

Storage …The product should be stored in the original containers at room temperature (about 25°C), with dry place.
Shelf life …36 months

Note: Vitamin E Acetate 25% GFP must be handled in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet.
