We offer homogeneous premixes containing vitamins and other micronutrients on the basis of our customer’s specifications or final product concepts. Technical and commercial advice and proposals are provided to find the optimum formulation for your application.
Ingredients:
Our range of ingredients covers vitamins, carotenoids, minerals, other micronutrients, carriers and excipients. Fat-soluble vitamin, A,D,E,K, and carotenoids are added in microencapsulated form whereas the water-soluble vitamins usually are added in crystal fine form. All essential minerals are available. Carriers are typical carbohydrates such as maltodextrin, dextrose or lactose.
Monographs:
The ingredients comply with one or more of the current international and recognised monographs, e.g. USP, Ph, Eur, or FCC.
Specification:
Each premix has different chemical and pysical properties depending on its composition. Therefore specifications must be drawn up individually.
Stabilization/Stability:
The oily vitamin blends are available stabilized with DL-a-tocopherol (E307) or butylhydroxytoluene (BHT, E321), or unstabilized. The products are stable for up to 24 months if they are stored in the unopened original containers at 5°C.
Certificates:
A certificate of guarantee or a certificate of analysis is issued for each batch of premix delivered. Customised guarantees and analytical programmes are available upon request.
Pharmaceutical applications:
Weishi excipients can be incorporated in directly compressible premixes and bulk mixtures. Premixes are increasingly being used production of multivitamin tablets, effervescent tablets, hard gelatine capsules, etc.
Food applications:
The dry premixes can be incorparate to a wide range of food products. Infant formula, hospital nutrition, food aid, beverages, dairy products, but also candies, ice cream and cereals are some examples of products, which are commonly enriched with our dry premixes.
Packaging … The standard premix packaging is 25kg in a aluminiumpolyethylene liner in a fibreboard box. Other packagings are available upon request.
Storage … The premixes should be stored in the original packaging in a cool (8-15°C), dry and dark place.
