Application: The product is used as raw material for agrochemical, pharmaceutical, silicone and synthetic rubber sectors. It is a significant methylator for organic synthesis.
Physical & chemical properties: under normal temperature and pressure, the product is a colorless gas with a sweetish scent. It may turn into colorless liquid under pressure. Its melting point is -97.7°C, its boiling point is -23.7°C. Its flash point is below -40°C. Its density is 0.996g/cm3 at 20°C. It is soluble slightly in water but easily in chloroform, ether ethanol and propanone. It is noncorrosive.
Storage & transportation: The product is packed in LPG cylinders or tanks (or tank cars). It is to keep in dry and well-ventilated place, away from sunlight and raining. It is to comply with regulations of railway and road transportation of China concerning hazardous cargo.
