As one fo the basic organic fluorine materials, hexafluoropropylene is the comonomer of many fluoro-containing polymers, and as intermediate of many kinds of fluoro-containing compounds. Main uses are as follows:
4.1 In the manufacture of extinguishing agent HFC-227ea.
4.2 In the manufacture of F26, F246 fluorubbers
4.3 In the manufacture of FEP.
4.4 In the manufacture of fluoro-containing surfactants, fluoro-containing pharmaceutical intermediates and fluorinated ether.
