Marbofloxacin is a 3rd generation fluoroquinolone with a wide spectrum
including Gram-positive organisms, Gram-negative organisms and Mycoplasma.
It has a distinctive molecular structure that confers good kinetic
properties, which make it stand out clearly from the other fluoroquinolones.
It is Specialist in Salmonella, E.coli, Proteus, presented by white
watery diarrhea, greasy diarrhea, or blood in feces.
Marbofloxacin can orally treat for bacterial skin and soft tissue
infections in dogs and cats and urinary tract infections(cystitis)
in dogs associated with bacteria susceptible to marbofloxacin
. The recommended dosage for oral administration to dogs and cats
is 1.25mg marbofloxacin per lb of body weight once daily, but
the dosage may be safely increased to 2.5mg/lb.
It is also proposed for oral or parenteral administration to
cattle, including lactating dairy cattle, for treatment of bovine
respiratory disease and parenteral administration to pigs for
the treatment of Mastitis Metritis Agalactiae Syndrome, the proposed
