Founded in 1992, Lanzhou Changxing Petrochemical Plant is a fine chemical factory for the production and sales of p-cresol. It covers an area of 21,999sqm and has 186 employees, 18 of whom are senior technicians, 130 have college licenses. After decade development, Changxing has had 46.32 million Yuan of fixed assets and 12.25 million Yuan of cash flow. Up to now, weare AAA credit customer of banks and the asset-liability ratio; is 44.97% only. Wang Lunkan is our legal representative.

Our 1,500 t/A of P-CRESOL(Assay:96%) has been put into production since 1997. On Sep ,28th, 1999, according to theassay requirement of USA and EU regions to P-CRESOL, we started the reconstruction project of high pure-CRESOL, the design output is 13,000 ton/ year. This project includes two phases. First stage is the 6,000 ton per year; it is reconstructed from our 1,500 tons equipment. This stage had been finished at the end of 2000. According to the inspection of Gansu I/E check and quarantine bureau, its assay is not less than 99.7%, crystallization point is not less than 34.5°C, Chroma is not more than 5 Hazen. These indexes are better than the designed standard (assay=99.2%, crystallization point≥34°C, Chroma ≤ 100 Hazen). Now, we are working on the construction of second stage project.

Through the construction of 6,000t/a of high pure P-CRESOL, we have become the first one that can solve the low assay and unstable product quality problems successfully in China. Our quality can meet the international standard, we are a leader of this trade in China. In the other hand, through intensifying our internal management and lowering the energy cost, we have had two advantages on quality and price. We have got the certificate of ISO9001:2000 quality system in 2002, and the application of ISO24001 EM and ISO28001 PSM has been scheduled into out calendar, this work will be finished at the end of 2004.

Our company has the I/E license, half of our products have been exported to GB, Germany, India and Belgium. Tested by SGS, its assay exceeds the standard of international market, the chlorine ion assay is less than 1PPM , and the assay of sulfur is less than 2PPM; therefore, our industrial P-CRESOL can meet the requirements of Pharmaceutical companies of USA and EU. Changxing have become very popular in these regions. To keeping the inspection precision, we have adjusted the parameters of our gas chromatography, which has the same precision of SGS. According to our analysis, the real assay of most of 99.9999% -marked products is about 90% only.
