First Aid
A, skin contact:immediately remove
all contaminated clothing and wash the exposed areas
thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Call medical
help if burnt.
B, eyes contact:if alkali contacts the eyes, they should
be irrigated immediately with an abundant amount of
water or physiological salt solution for at least 15
minutes. Then use 3% boric acid solution for washing. Call
medical help.
C, inhalation:remove the person from the contaminated
area. Administer artificial respiration if necessary. Get
prompt medical help.
D, ingestion:gargle with water and drink plenty of water, diluted
vinegar or lemon juice. Get prompt medical help.
Safety Measures:
A, process control:close operation.
B, respiratory protection:None is normally required, however, if
misting or heavy vapor formation should occur, a approved
mist respirator should be worn.
C, eye protection:chemical splash goggles and face shield.
D, skin protection:wear impervious and/or waterpro of
rubber or plastic exposure suit and gloves. |
