| ISP Acquires The Business of Progiven S.A.S. |
WAYNE, NJ - January 20, 2006 - International Specialty Products Inc. ("ISP") today announced that, through one of its subsidiaries, it has acquired the business of French biocides manufacturer, Progiven S.A.S. ("Progiven").
Established in 1946, Progiven is today recognized as a leading formulator of biocides for a diverse range of industrial applications including paints and coatings, glues and adhesives, metalworking fluids, building industry materials, textile and leather auxiliaries, detergents and water treatment additives. Progiven has built a strong market position through the combination of its unique technical expertise and customer service orientation and today serves over 700 customers in more than 50 countries.
