β-Mercaptoethanol is colorless transparent liquid with distinctive odor, flammable, soluble in many organic solvents such as water, alcohol and ether, etc. It is mainly used as tolemer for high molecular materials such as polyacrylonitrile, PVC and polyacrylic, polymerization catalyst and crosslinking agent for polymer synthesis, and curing agent for resin.
