A. Wet handling

500-600kgs straws with the length of 20-30cm is wetted and piled up onto PE film to the height of 40-50cm and then spread calcium cyanamide of 20-25kgs onto it. Repeat the same operation until the height of pile reaches 1.5-2m and the width is 1.8m. After pile, it must be covered with plastic film to prevent from the loss of moisture and nutrients.

After 2-3 weeks, the middle of pile may collapse due to the decomposition and decreased volume. Put some water and apply small amount of calcium cyanamide on undecomposed parts to make good compost.

B. Dry handling

Spread 20-30cm long straws and calcium cyanamide granular onto the soil for natural decaying.

    1)For fruits and tea:
Put 100kgs straws and 20kgs calcium cyanamide granular into ditches and then covered with soil in early Dec or late Jan.

    2)For vegetables:
In summer, 2-3 months prior to planting, put 1700 kgs straws and 60kgs calcium cyanamide granular per mu with chicken manure, residue oil, lime into soil.

    3)For rice:
In the early spring, spread calcium cyanamide granular onto the straws left in the fields. 500kgs straws applied with calcium cyanamide granular of 20-30kgs.

Precautions:

    1)Wear mask, eye shield and rubber gloves during the operations. Avoid its contact with skin. In that case, wash the skin carefully with soap water.

    2)Drinking beverages with alcohol is forbidden 24 hours before and after the operation

    3)This product is easy to absorb the moisture. It is better to transport it with containers with cover and be stored in cool, dry and ventilating warehouse. Avoid stacking on the wall.

    4)Spread prior to seedling and planting. Evenly mix with the soil. Don't directly spread it on the plants.

    5)Don't eat and drink. In that case, go to doctor right away

     6)Avoid applying it in the fish farm and prevent the water with calcium cyanamide from flowing into fishpond.
