| The chemical name is 3-(4-cyclopenthyl-1-piperazinyl)
imino) rifamycin SV, the molecular formula is C47H64N4O12,
the molecular weight is 877.04. Rifapentine is brick red or
dark red crystalline powder, scentless and odourless. Rifapentine
belongs to rifamycins antibiotic, it's main use is to cure
tuberculosis, lepra, and acute penumenic infection, it's dosage
is only one to seven of rifampin's. Rifapentine is given one
dosage every one week, it's short term curative effect is 3-6
times higher than rifampin, and itis anti aids additionally.
