Physical and Chemical Properties: The purity is white and odorless solid, melting point is 251^oC-253^oC. Relative density is 1.77, the vapor pressure is 1.6X10-10Pa at 25^oC. The solubility is 49mg/L in water at pH 2.5, 5600mg/L at pH 7, less than 16mg/L in acetone, less than 40mg/L in methyl alcohol. It almost can not solve in toluene and n-hexane.
Toxicity: Acute oral toxicity for rat is LD₅₀>5000mg/kg, acute dermal toxicity for rabbit is LD₅₀>2000mg/kg. It is slightly irritant to rabbit eyes, no irritancy to rabbit skin. Acute inhalation toxicity for rat is LC₅₀ (4h) >1.2mg/L. Acute oral toxicity for bobwhite is LD₅₀>2250mg/kg, feeding wild duck is LC₅₀ (8d)>5620mg/L. It is nontoxic to giant sunfish and water flea. Oral toxicity for each bee is LC₅₀>100μg.
Application: It is a kind of broad spectrum herbicide. It can prevent and kill of most of broad leaves weeds for annual and prennation. It also has inhibiting effect on gramineous weeds. It has excellent activity to abutilon theophrasti, lamb's-quarters, chickweed, catchweed, stramonium, amaranthus retroflexus, pineapple weed and corn radish. It has distinct efficacy on most of cruciferae such as knotweed, kochia scoparia, nightshade, deadnettle, veronica didyma, hibiscus trionum, xanthium sabiricum, rorippa palustris and penny cress. It also has excellent activity to setaria viridis and cyperus esculentus. It is particularly to apply on intercrop such as soybean and corn, corn and wheat.
