沙索国际宣布了德国汉堡沙索石蜡加工厂的管理层变动。1995年以来,担任沙索德国公司管理总裁的Helmuth Schulze Trautman 先生将于2008年2月底退休，Thomas Luedemann之后将继任。Helmuth Schulze Trautman 先生1990年加入Hans-Otto Schuemann公司（之后并入沙索公司）。他在沙索的职业生涯还包括两年在南非的沙索Helm公司。Thomas Luedeman于2007年11月加入沙索公司， 他之前从2006年开始曾在沙索壳牌石油蜡膏合资公司（Sasol Wax & Shell’s petroleum jelly Joint Venture）担任总裁。
另外，据公告显示沙索德国公司(Sasol Wax Gmbh)和壳牌石油德国公司（Shell Deutschland Oil）签署了一份协议，壳牌公司将要将两家合资公司（Merkur Vaseline GmbH & Co.KG.和Merkur Vaseline Verwaltungs GmbH）中50%的股份出让给沙索公司，协议2008年1月1日起生效。默克公司（Merkur）主要以德国汉堡为主进行石油膏的行销。沙索和壳牌两家公司一致认为这个决定有利于客户和股民的利益，也有利于双方各自将精力集中于他们的核心业务。
    Sasol Wax International AG has announced changes in the management of its Hamburg, Germany paraffin wax manufacturer, Sasol Wax GmbH. Helmuth Schulze-Trautman, who has been Managing Director since 1995, will retire at the end of February 2008 and Thomas Luedemann will succeed him. Mr. Schulze-Trautman joined Hans-Otto Schuemann (which later became Sasol Wax) in 1990. His career included two years at the helm of Sasol Wax in South Africa. Thomas Luedeman joined Sasol Wax in November 2007 and was previously Managing Director of Sasol Wax & shell’s petroleum jelly joint venture, Merkur since 2006.
Separately, is was announced that Sasol Wax GmbH and Shell Deutschland Oil GmbH have signed an agreement that Shell will sell to Sasol its 50 percent shareholding in their joint venture company Merkur Vaseline GmbH & Co. KG. and Merkur Vaseline Verwaltungs GmgH, effective January 1, 2008. Merkur markets and sells petroleum jelly and is based in Hamburg, Germany. Both parties agree that this is in the best interest of customers and shareholders as it enables each to focus on core strategic drivers for their respective businesses.
