EMVATEX DK-TN is a kind of thickener developed especially for the reactive discharge reactive dyes printing .It owns its unique characteristic of discharge printing .it is usually used on medium deep colour fabric to get a very good effect and also for dark deep colour fabric,such as Navy blue or black fabric, to get a excellent effect of white discharge. It can be used together with Cleantex D-TN for the discharge printing.The method of this printing application can be adjusted in terms of end-users’ process conditions.

Properties:
          Appearance : Pale yellowish powder
          Ionicity     :  Anionic
          PH Value   : 12.5-13(12% stock)
          Stability    : can be Stored for a long time in state of powder.

Keys to discharge printing:

  1.  Marcozol® CDR dyes is used as the dischargeable reactive dyes , Marcocion® P dyes as the illuminating colour.
  2. There are several methods for Marcozol® CDR type dyeing ,but the discharge ability of the fabric processed by dip dyeing or CPB is better than that processed by padding-steaming.
  3. The fixation method is that the excellent discharge effect can be got by conventionally saturated steaming plus curing after printing.

Fixation methods:
Cotton

  1. Baking(150-160℃ for 3 min.) – steaming(102℃ for 8 min.)
  2. Baking(170-180℃ for 40-60sec.) – steaming(102℃ for 8 min.)

Rayon
Rayon’s discharge effect is very good after steaming-curing 。
1. steaming(102℃ for 8 min.) –Baking(150-160℃ for 3 min.)
2. steaming(102℃ for 8 min.) – Baking(170-180℃ for 40-60sec.)
Cotton or rayon
HT steaming (130℃ for10 min. ; 140℃ for7min.)
Tower
Medium drying after printing(140-150℃ for 5-6 min.)-steaming (102℃ for 20min.)

Process :

  1. cotton or rayon:discharge printing of the ground colour fabric – drying - steaming(102℃ for 8 min.)- Baking(160℃ for 3 min.)- washing – soaping – washing – drying
  2. tower: discharge printing of the ground colour fabric – drying- Baking(160℃ for 3 min.)- steaming(102℃ for 20 min.)- washing – soaping – washing – drying

Notes:

  1. Excessive dose of CLEANTEX D-TN can affect reactive dyes’ illumianting colour and storage stability adversely.
  2. Drying should be complete after discharge printing.
  3. Soaping must be complete and soaping temperature should be as high as possible.
  4. Fixation method depends on the different substrates and please make the trial to determine the process before production.
