Physical and Chemical Properties: Industrial magnesium sulfate usually refers to the Heptahydrate, which is available in colorless fine needlelike crystals. It is smell0less and tastes bitter, easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol and glycerin.
Applications: Dye printing, chinaware, fuel, tanning, paper pulp, artificial fiber, textile and fireproof material industries. Used medically as a cathartic and agriculturally as magnesium fertilizer. It is also used as a coagulant aid for cement. |
