The full name of our plant is "Kunming Dongsheng Smeltering Chemical Co.,Ltd.". It was founded in 1952. With a history of 48 years, now the general factory holds a total capital of 210 million yuan, occupies 530 mu of area and possesses 12 plants. It is capable of manufacturing 100,000 tons of industrial sulfuric acid, 180,000 tons of ground phosphate rock, 22,5000 tons of industrial phosphorous acid by wet process, and 250,000 to 300,000 tons of triple, rich and ordinary superphosphate per year. Its ordinary superphosphate has been in the first place in terms of product quality in China for five consecutive years and won the gold prize in the Exposition of Science and Technology in Yunnan Province. The output of the ordinary superphosphate is in the fifth place in China and the annual sales income about 100 million yuan.
At present, a modern enterprise system of our factory is under establishment while is going to make our plant a stock-share enterprise. It has 668 skillful workers and staff members and 114 members who have received advanced education in colleges or technical secondary schools. Moreover, it is the eighth largest manufacturer of fertilizer, enjoying a high reputation and certain fame. Its products are exported to the Southeast Asia while quite salable in 19 province and areas in China.
Moreover, our plan of annexing the Yiliang Iron-Steel Plant in our county gains the support of the county's government and departments concerned. We will make full use of the equipment of this plant to conduct the project of zinc by electrometallurgy. According to the on-the-spot investigation made by experts in Angzhou Zinc Plant, it can reduce the construction investment by 150 million yuan. Now, the total output of zinc all over the world is 20 million tons, while that of China less than 2 million tons. The price of the metal zinc is over 10,000 yuan per ton, while the mine price of each ton of zinc about 4,000 yuan. Therefore, the profit will be quite considerable.
