Tetracosanol can inhibit evaporation and prevent the loss of water of fruit and vegetables; used as antistaling agent of fruit. C22 up extra long-chain fatty alcoholcan effectively control the evaporation of water. With high purity, high melting point and good luster, it can also be used as lubricating agent; also used as high-grade mould material.
