Established on May 11, 1958, Zhejiang Juhua Calcium Carbide Co., Ltd. is the first enterprise built and put into production by Juhua Group Company. It became Zhejiang Juhua Calcium Carbide Co., Ltd. in June, 1999. Now, Zhejiang Juhua Calcium Carbide Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Juhua Group with independent economic corporation, vice director-general unit of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association and vice president unit of Zhejiang gas association.

Over 50 years' hard work, Zhejiang Juhua Calcium Carbide Co., Ltd. has become a medium-scale chemical enterprise, with Calcium Carbide as main product; moreover, we also produce calcium cyanamide(granule, anti-disperse), nitrogen, oxygen, argon, liquefied carbon dioxide and F-141b. At present, we have CNY 163 million of assets, 12,073m² of lands, 6 plants, 2 centers ,9 departments and 1,166 employees, 139 of them are technicians (67 have senior/medium titles and 57 have junior titles). Our main equipment and outputs: Calcium Carbide 85,000 T/A, medium pressure steam 65,000T/A, calcium cyanamide 25,000T/A, industrial nitrogen 20,000kilostere/A, industrial oxygen 5,200kilosteres/A, argon 50kilosteres/A, F-141b 14,000T/A and carbon dioxide 10,000T/A. Especially, we are ranking the top position in calcium cyanamide industry of China in term of the scale and economic/technical indexes, and we now are one of biggest three exporters of granular calcium cyanamide in China. We sold CNY 972.71 million of products in 2007, and got CNY 10.92 million of profits and taxes.

Stressing both on economic profits and social benefits, we follow the policy of "Cyclic Economy" and try our best to use resource synthetically; we have lowered the costs and pollutions enormously. Through keeping developing new technologies and adjusting product structure, we are working hard to expand our business into fine chemical industry and improve our management system. Up to now, we have got o a lot of honors, including certificate of quality inspection system from State Metrological Bureau, certificate of ISO900 quality system, certificate of ISO14001 environment system, "Type II enterprise of China", "Good unit of China for equipment management", "Good First class measure unit of China", "First grade enterprise of China for saving energy", "Chemical cleaning and civilization unit", "Prize of all-field quality management", "good chemical enterprise of China in "Eighth-five-year program" for security and health", "good chemical enterprise of China in "tenth-five-year program" for environment protection" and "AAAA standard and good behavior enterprise", etc. Our "drying purification system for sealed calcium carbide furnace’s gas" got the patent of utility model from State Intellectual Property Office in 2006; our "Juhua" calcium carbide series have been approved as "famous brand products of Zhejiang province" for 2 times successively.
