Alumina Sol
1. Molecular Formula: a(Al2O3·nH2O).bHX.cH2O
Al2O3·nH2O is hydrated alumina, and HX is peptizing agent (b<< a, c, n)
2. Properties:
The product is semitransparent, milky sticky colloid or light yellow glassy solid as well as semitransparent or white suspension. It can be produced to liquid sol of different concentrations by dissolving in water, which is thixotropic, adhesive, dispersive, solution reversible, stable, positively charged, adsorptive and so on. It is nontoxic, non-volatile, non-combustible and odorless; dehydrated under high temperature it forms activated alumina.
The alumina sol is a relatively stable colloidal solution of several nanometers to over hundred nanometer sizes pellet that produced by using the peptizator to effect the hydrated alumina gelatin. The Alumina Sol central particle ( Al2O3·nH2O) has the high dispersibility and if dehydrated it can produce very micro-active alumina grain which has high surface energy and chemical activity, easily produce new compounds with correlative constituents .
3. Applications:
This series can be used for petrochemical catalyst, catalyst carrier; high temperature resistant shaping binding agent and agglomerant of aluminum silicate product, precision casting and ceramics; additive of ceramics and enamel; film-forming agent and anti-electrostatic agent of textiles and fabrics; emulsifier, stabilizing agent of pigment and coating, emulsifying dispersant of grease etc. Also it may use for the surface coating of the top-grade digital photographic paper and energy-saving fluorescent lamp; the primary material for the printing ink and cosmetics as well as the papermaking industry and so on .

5. Packing:
For the solid and colloid products, use the woven bag lining the double-layer film, 25kg/bag; for the liquid product, use the plastic drum, 25kg/100kg/200kg. |
