Properties: |
Pb(CH3COO)2•3H2O is colorless crystal or white granules or powder; has week acetic acid smell and sweet taste; when heated to 100°C it will start to release acetic acid, and will be completely decomposed at above 200°C.
Pb(CH3COO)4 is colorless and monoclinic system crystal usually with light red; not stable in the air. |

Solubility: |
Pb(CH3COO)2•3H2O is easily soluble in water, soluble in cool water (44.3%) and hot water (221.2%); also soluble in ethanol and easily soluble in glycerol.
Pb(CH3COO)4 can be decomposed into lead oxide and acetic acid in water; soluble in hot water, acetic acid, benzene and chloroform. |
