Chloramphenicol :
It is white needle-like or slight yellow green needle-like, flaky crystal or crystalline powder; Bitter, it is soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone and propylene glycol, is insoluble in water practically. It is stable matter in dry condition. The ph value of 2.5% solution is 4.5--7.5. It is stable in weak acidic and neutral solution. It is not decomposed in the boiling water. It may be invalid in basic condition. .
