Shanghai Fuerfu Speciality Material Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a Research-production oriented hi-tech enterprise of great vitality, which specializes in producing and selling of Pharmaceutical Intermediate 1,2,4-Butanetriol and Antioxidant Ethoxyquin. Located in No. 978 Jinyu Road, Songjiang, Shanghai 201600, P.R.C., our company covers an area of land of more than 8,000 m2 and building area of 2,500 m2 for workshop, warehouse, laboratory and office space etc. Now we have two production lines, annual capacity of 50MT 1,2,4-Butanetriol and that of 1200MT Ethoxyquin. 30% of our employees are specialized technical personnel, with college degree or above. We own the unique industrialization production line of 1,2,4-Butanetriol in China. It is one of the few very important research projects of the government. There have been a hundred years of research on the synthesis of it in the world. And dozens of methods have been used. But it’s still in laboratory. Some data show that U.S. Navy committed a famous company known as Thiolkol to begin trial production of 1,2,4-Butanetriol in 1948 due to its function as an important solid propellant. However, they finalized to give up in 1990s, for three reasons: First, the purity of the product is not in a position to meet their requirement, max. 95%. What’s worse, the other 5% impurities will be harmful to the propellant, even causing damage. Second, the high cost to get the acceptable product. Third, superior difficulty in synthesis techniques.

FUERFU company researched and developed 1,2,4-Butanetriol on the basis of self-dependence and self-innovation. By searching and analyzing lots of docs / data, we decided to adopt new synthesis method. After researching, pilot test and trial production, we solved the difficulty completely and achieved success. Purity of our 1,2,4-Butanetriol is high, min. 98%, and it can meet the requirement of the development of modern space technology, as “two Non two High” (Non-toxic, Non-pollution, High-purity, High-performance). It has received good reputation of the space technology experts and contributed greatly to the national defense building.

Our company has an industrialization production line of 1,2,4-Butanetriol that only few developed countries have in the world, with advanced technology in the world and annual capacity of 50MT. It fills the domestic gaps.
