Introduction:
Our product HEC is made from highly pure cotton - cellulose by reaction
of etherification under alkaline conditions without any organs
of animals, fat and other bioactive constituents.
Physical properties:
This product is a type of non - ionic surfactant and appears white
odorless tasteless flowing powder. HEC's sieve rate is more than
99% for 40 mesh. Transition temperature: 135 - 140 ℃; apparent
density: 0.35 - 0.61 g/ml; decomposition temperature: 205 - 210
℃. HEC is characterized by hygroscopicity and is soluble in both
cold and warm water. Generally it is insoluble in most organic
solvents. Its viscosity changes little when the PH value is in
the range of 2 to 12 while the viscosity will go down beyond
this range HEC does not precipitate under high temperature or
boiling therefore it has a wide range of solubility and viscosity,
that is to say, it has non - thermal gelation. HEC is also a
kind of excellent thickener containing electrolyte solution of
high concentration. HEC is twice the water retaining capacity
as MC thus has good flow regulation. Furthermore, the protective
colloid ability of HEC is quite strong.
Usages:
- Waterborne latex paints: As collective colloid, HEC can be
polymerized with vinyl acetate emulsion to improve the stability
of polymerizing system within the wide range of PH value. In
the finished product manufacturing, HEC plays a role of dispersion,
stabilization and thickening in using paint.
- HEC is used as dispersant for suspension polymer such as styrene,
acrylate, acrylonitrile etc.
- Oil drilling: HEC is used as thickener to make mud achieve
good mobility and stability mixed in the muds required by drilling,
well set, cementing and fracturing operations.
- Construction and building materials: Because of its strong
ability of retaining water, HEC is an effective thickener and
adhesive of cement paste and mortar. It can improve liquidity
and performance of construction and extend evaporation time of
water to increase the early strength and avoid cracks. HEC can
also effectively the water retaining ability and adhesive strength
when used in wall plaster, adhesive plaster and gypsum putty.
- Toothpaste: HEC is able to guarantee the stability of the paste
and increase the taste because of its strong salt and acid resistance.
Besides, HEC’s water retaining ability and emulsifying capacity
make toothpaste difficulty to dry.
- Water - based ink: HEC can help ink dry and fast penetrate.
Moreover, HEC is also widely used in textile printing and dyeing,
paper making, daily chemicals and etc.

Security:
This product is harmless and non - toxic and then it can be used
as food additive without calory and it has no greater stimulus
than the wheat starch, no allergic reactions therefore generally
it is considered safe. HEC should be avoided contacting with
the fire source, in particular forming mounts of dust in sealed
environment to prevent the explosive danger.
Transport:
Be careful to prevent sun, rain and moisture and it must be stored
in dry places sealed.
Packaging:
This product is packed in double-layer bags with polyethylene
film bag enclosed in coated plastic woven bag. The net weight
is 25 kg/bag. The products can also be packed as you request.
