Comparative analysis of open grading ring and closed grading ring |

At present, composite insulator use 'open' ring and 'closed' ring two grading rings, the unique difference is that the open ring has discharge open on the ring. The two rings have no obvious differences on grading effect. Open type grading ring has strong arc striking function. In foreign countries, grading ring matched with composite insulator are all open type grading rings. Moreover, another difference between open ring and closed ring is: the discharge of open ring occurs in the opening direction, but there is no obvious rule for closed ring.
In some developed countries, people pay more attention to the protection of insulator surface in transmission line operation, obviously, the discharge voltage of the insulator chain mounted with 'discharge gap' is lower, but insulator surface is well protected.
Open type grading ring is grading ring with grading function and 'discharge gap' function, it has better effect than closed type grading ring. |
