[Properties]: light yellow lumpy crystal; light yellow powder with special odor; soluble in carbon disulfide, insoluble in water. B.p.: 445℃. It can burn in air with blue flame, and generate sulfur dioxide.

Sulfur in lump has three forms: prismatic crystal, monoclinic crystal and amporphous form.

Appearance: technical sulfur is yellow or light yellow lump, powder, granules or flakes.

[Properties]: Sulfur is yellow crystal with several kinds of allotropes. Density: 2.1g/cm³, m.p.: 112.8℃, b.p.: 445℃. It is brittle, insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, easily soluble in carbon disulfide. It is mainly used for the manufacture of sulfuric acid, vulcanized rubber, black powder, matches, sulfides etc; in agriculture, it is used as pesticides; also used in pharmacy.
