We can supply two kinds of production processes for producing sodium sulphate.

1-chemical process

Production method

Put NaCl(=97%)and H 2 SO 4 (=98%)into furnace according to certain ration to react, then get sodium sulphate. The main reaction as follows:

2NaCl+H 2 SO 4→ Na 2 SO 4 +2HCl↑- Q

In fact, the reaction must go through two steps:

NaCl+ H 2 SO 4 →NaHSO 4 +HCl↑ + Q(1)

NaHSO 4 +NaCl →Na 2 SO 4 +2HCl↑ - Q(2)

The first step is exothermic reaction, it can undergo on condition of low temperature. Then get NaHSO 4, the second step is strong endothermic reaction, The complete reaction must be at the temperature of 500--600°C, the heat quantity which reaction needs is supplied by mix coal gas from coal gas production furnace burning in combustion chamber. The temperature of combustion chamber must keep at about 1200°C.

2-mineral process

using mirabilite stone to getting sodium sulphate,i.e.crushing mirabilite stone which contains  sodium, then soaking and extracting. After removing impurity, then evaporating it and centrifugal separating,drying and getting Sodium Silicate.

Na 2 SO 4 ·Ca SO 4 + 2 H 2 O ==== Na 2 SO 4 + Ca SO 4 ·2 H 2 O
