NERC has made great contribution to the research and development, engineering experiments and education in the past years. It has successfully developed varies of catalyst, and transformed them into productivity. Several national and provincial awards were granted. Since 1997, NERC-CFC applied 7 Chinese patents and 1 American patents, published 71 papers, while 35 published important journals, took 22 important projects from the State, Ministries, or Province.
1.Chemical Fertilizer Catalyst
NERC-CFC has successfully accomplished the development and industrialization of 9 kinds of chemical fertilizer catalyst, 8 of which have been marketed.
☆ A110-3, A201, A202, FA401 Ammonia Synthesis Catalysts with high activity, good heat resistance and poison resistance, and long life, adapts to all kinds of ammonia synthesis tower in plants and can improve productivity at a range of 5% to 15%.
☆ B116, FBD Carbon Monoxide HTS Catalysts with low chromium, high activity at low temperature, good heat resistance and anti-sulfur performance, high mechanical intensity, can be used in low Stream/gas ratio, which dramatically decrease the stream cost and significantly save energy about 150 Kg per ton of ammonia. Do well under the medium temperature transfer to low temperature shift reaction process, which can prevent the Carbon Monoxide LTS catalyst from sulfuration. So it is a benign catalyst.
☆ B121 Chromium-free Carbon Monoxide HTS Catalysts, get rid of the pollution of Cr, which has existed more than 80 years in industry; high activity, high mechanical intensity, good heat resistance and anti-sulfur performance. Does well to all kinds of shift reaction processes. Reaches the advance level of home and abroad, as a benign environment catalyst.
☆ FBK Carbon Monoxide LTS Catalyst is distinguished with its high mechanical intensity, unlimited resistance to sulfur, low ratio of stream to gas and wide activity temperature range, and so on.
☆ Carbon Monoxide BTS Catalysts is a national pioneer at using natural mineral supporter. We have finished the study at laboratory, now industrial experiments are under the way at the catalyst factory of Fuzhou University under NERC-CFC, and plan to try out at ammonia synthesis plant.
Five kinds of the catalysts listed above has won 9 varieties of national or provincial award as below:
★ A110-3 and A201 won the third prize of the National Invention Award
★ B116 won the second prize of the ministry of Chemical Engineering Award for Advancement in Science and Technology and the second prize of the National Award for Advancement in Science and Technology
★ A202 won the first prize of Fujian Provincial Award for Advancement in Science and Technology and the third prize of the National Award for Advancement in Science and Technology
★ B121 won the first prize of Fujian Provincial Award for Advancement in Science and Technology and the second prize of the National Invention Award
2.Environmental Catalyst
FD three way automobile exhaust catalytic converter is characterized by its' low light off temperature, high-temperature resistance and long life, can meet the stringent emissions regulation of EUROPE-II and its aging factor is less than 1.1. The performance of converter reaches the advanced level of domestic and overseas product.
3.Petrochemical Catalyst
Hydrodesulphurization (HDS) catalyst with Co, Mo, Ti, Al and F, can be used for the deep HDS of petrol and diesel. It has larger specific surface, longer life and higher activity (improving 20 percentages to 30 percentages), compared with present industrial HDS catalysts.
4.Auto control
☆ AHC auto controller system for ammonia synthesis is fit to auto control and management of the synthesis tower, ammonia cooler, ammonia segregator, cold exchanger and other primary device needed in ammonia synthesis plants; fit to residue heat oven, iso-pressure reclaim and other auxiliary device as well; has been applied at Fuzhou Yaolong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. and Fujian Longyan ammonia synthesis plant; and won the third prize of Fujian Provincial Award for Advancement in Science and Technology.
☆ ABH auto controller system for shift reaction does well in controlling and managing the oven temperature, outstream CO contain, recycle water in saturated hot water tower, liquid location; has been applied at Fujian Qingliu ammonia synthesis plant, Fuzhou Yaolong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. and Fujian Longyan ammonia synthesis plant; and won the third prize of Fujian Provincial Award for Advancement in Science and Technology.
☆ MBC-I multi-purpose embedded controller is developed by the Industrial Control Research Institute of National Engineering Research Center of Chemical Fertilizer Center for D/A control of small to medium size processes. It is intended for use in chemical, light industry, boiler, contruction material and related industries.
