PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY
Mol. wt. 350.3  M.f. C13H17F3N4O4  Form Orange crystals.  M.p. 122.5-124 ºC  V.p. 0.0033 mPa (25 ºC)  S.g./density 1.41 (25 ºC)  Solubility In water 0.013 mg/l (25 ºC). In acetone 226, acetonitrile 45, benzene 74, chloroform 93, ethanol 7, hexane 20, xylene 35.4 (all in g/l, 20 ºC).  Stability Moderately stable to light. Decomposes at 240 ºC.  pKa 11.5, strong base  F.p. 196 °C 

APPLICATIONS
Biochemistry Cell division inhibitor.  Mode of action Selective herbicide which inhibits spindle fibre formation and hence cell division, and root and shoot growth.  Uses Pre-plant or pre-emergence control of annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in non-crop land, ornamentals, turf, conifer and hardwood seedlings, at 0.375-2.0 kg/ha.  Formulation types WG.
