1. Use:
Degrease and defluxer for electronic products, plastics, metals
etc. Not recommended for other purposes.
2. Cleaning equipments:
1. Equipments previously using trichloroethane can be used
directly.
2. Equipments previously using CFC-113 can be used after thorough
cleaning with DF100A.
3. Recommendation:
1. Optimum pH: above 5.0.
2. Prior to cleaning of plastic products, immerse a sample
of the plastic products in DF100A for 12 hours, and determine
its suitability.
3. Limit the quantity of water to be used. Too much water
may cause contamination and loss of cleaning power.
4. Moderate sealing is required during cleaning to prevent
evaporation. Collect vapor by a cooling system if possible.
5. Ventilation is required.
6. Normally the boiling point of DF100A is 71°C. If the
boiling point exceeds 75°C or if the content of NPB in
the cleaner is bellow 50%, replace with new one.
7. Replace the cleaner according to usability test (see section
4 below). The used cleaner can be recovered and regenerated.
8. Ventilate and wear activated carbon mask in case of maintenance.
9. NPB may become acidic after prolonged use. Monitor pH frequently.
10. Read MSDS before use.
4. Usability test
1. pH determination:
A. by pH paper
Apply 2-3 drops of DF100A to moisturized pH paper. Determine
the usability of the cleaner according to the table below.

B. by pH meter
Mix 30g of water and 30g of DF100A, shake well and stay. Measure
the pH of water phase by pH meter.
C. DF100A with pH below 5.0 can be regenerated by appropriate
measures.
2. Determination of stabilizer
Put a piece of aluminum foil (20X20mm) into 30g of DF100A, stay
at 55-60°C for 30 minutes. If there is no apparent change,
the cleaner is usable; if it turns dark, suitable amount of
stabilizer shall be added prior to use.
