The following material were immersed in boiling NPB preparation for 15 minutes. The result is positive.

11. Application example

Company A is a manufacturer of electronic parts for medical apparatus. In consideration of performance, cost and ecological concerns, it sought new cleaning solvent to substitute CFC-113 which it orginally used. d-Lemonene was tested first but failed because of its residue problem and instability. Then NPB was tested. NPB has no residue problem, and performs better than CFC-113 in defluxing. Although it may cause discoloration to plastic products, the problem can be solved by reducing contact time.
