Properties:
This product is vacuum sublimation at 280°C, and can soluble in dimethoxyethane, diglyme and THF, and soluble in diethyl ether slightly. It is stable in dry air, and will hydrolyze in the damp air. This product is a mild high optional reducing agent, that can reduce ketones, aldehydes and acyl chloride in diethyl ether or diethylene glycol at 0°C, can't reduce fatty acid ester and acrylic, but can reduce fatty acid and alicyclic acid's phenyl ester, can be reduction of THF(open loop).
Usage
Used as reducing agent in the area of pharmaceutical perfume, pesticide, dye and other fine chemical organic synthesis. Widely used in reducing steroidal ketone. In anti-AIDS API, it used as the reducing agent for synthetising Atazanavir.
