Lanolin Alcohol is the extracted, unsaponifiable fraction of Lanolin. It is a mixture of
alcohols comprising cholesterol, lanosterol, agnosterol and their dihydro derivatives plus
straight and branched chain aliphatic alcohols. The wax is pale yellow in colour and is free from odour and detergents. Very powerful when used as a water in oil emulsifyer and has a guaranteed minimum water absorption of 200%.Conforms to European Pharmacopoeia specifications and is used in most high grade cosmetic and pharma preparations where colour / whiteness and low levels of residual pesticides are required. Also very effective for providing a feel soft factor in wash off and bath preparations. |
